Udaipur City Palace

 
Udaipur City Palace is one of the main attractions in Rajasthan. It showcases the rich history of this fabled location, making it one of the best tourist places in Udaipur. The construction of this palace started during the reign of Maharana Udai Singh II and took almost three centuries to come to fruition. It is the biggest building in Udaipur and is renowned as one of the best sightseeing destinations. Its architecture elegantly blends both Rajasthani and Mughal styles and stands head and shoulders above the other palatial structures around the city. It is located on a hilltop where you can get a superb view of Lake Pichola.

Fateh Sagar Lake

 
Fateh Sagar Lake is the second largest lake in the city and is located just opposite the entrance to Moti Magri Mahal. This man-made lake was commissioned to be constructed by Maharana Jai Singh in 1678. It was named after Maharana Fateh Singh and has a depth of 11.5 metres.
This tourist place in Udaipur features three small islands that can be reached by boat. The largest of the three islands features a garden and a boat-shaped restaurant named Nehru Park. A small zoo is also present on the island and it is known to be a popular picnic spot for the locals.
The second of the three islands features a beautiful garden with a variety of fountains. This island is managed by the Rajasthan state government. The third island is managed by the Udaipur Solar Observatory which is a renowned solar observatory site in Asia.

Sajjangarh Palace

 
Located on the outskirts of Udaipur is the Monsoon Palace, which is a monumental structure that should be on your itinerary when you are touring Udaipur. Maharana Sajjan Singh got this palace constructed to get a better view of the rain-bearing clouds that lined the skies of Rajasthan during the monsoon. It is built using white marble and features wide corridors and rooms within its premises. The beauty of this palace grows multifold during the monsoon season as the white marble seems to glow against the dark cloudy backdrop. You can also enjoy the sunsets as you gaze from the windows of this striking structure. Surrounding the palace is a lush green sanctuary where you can spot animals such as tigers, Nilgar, Sambar Deer and more, in their natural habitat.

Lake Picchola

 
This lake was constructed during 1362 AD, most likely by tribesmen belonging to the Banjara community. Today it serves as an iconic symbol of Udaipur and measures nearly 4 kilometres in length and 3 kilometres in width. It is one of the must-see places in Udaipur. Over the years a myriad of temples, palaces and other structures have been built around this magnificent lake and many still retain the charm of the yesteryears. This lake is located about 6 kilometres from our resort and can be reached in about 20 minutes.

Bagore Ki Haveli

 
Bagore ki Haveli is a splendid palace that is located on the waterfront of Lake Picholi and is among the best places to visit in Udaipur. This palace was built during the 18th century and it retains its pride and timeless charm to this day. It houses more than a hundred rooms that feature a diverse range of costumes, modern art and other signature collections.
